Intraoral Cameras
As part of our efforts to always be transparent with our patients, we can use intraoral cameras to show you what the inside of your mouth looks like from our point of view. We’ll take pictures of your teeth and gums, then point to the areas where cavities, gum disease, and other issues have started to form. You’ll be able to gain a new understanding of your oral health, and you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about when we explain why you might need a specific treatment.
All-Digital X-Rays
X-rays have been widely used in dentistry since the 1950s, but in more recent times, many dental offices have switched from traditional film to fully digital radiography. Digital X-rays are able to capture clearer images, and they take much less time to develop. They can easily be stored on our computer so that our team can quickly look up your information whenever we need it. Best of all, the process only involves a fraction of the radiation involved with regular X-rays.
Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry
Traditional gum disease treatment involving a scalpel and sutures can be less than pleasant, but fortunately, we have an alternative. Instead of a scalpel, we can remove bacteria and infected tissue with a soft tissue laser. Not only does the laser cause very little discomfort, but it also cauterizes any exposed blood vessels right away, thus minimizing any bleeding at the end of the procedure. With the precision of the dental laser, we can focus on only removing the infected parts of the gums while leaving the rest of the smile intact.
iTero Digital Impressions
Taking an impression is the first step in a variety of restorative and cosmetic treatments, such as placing crowns. Our iTero digital impression system helps speed up the process; now instead of biting down on some dental putty (which is known to have a bad taste), we only need to take a few scans of your teeth in order to create a three-dimensional model of your bite that we can use to plan the treatment.
